Nancy

I'm 19 years old. I'm going to collage to become a Nurse, currently finishing up my CNA course to hopefully work at a hospital.

I've been riding for 7 years, I would have started sooner, but I had to have major back surgery in 2002 for scoliosis which took me out as a candidate for riding for a good two years. After I fully recovered I started riding Saddleseat at Stone Creek Stables on their Saddlebreds. Rode for about 2 years, showed the Saddlebred circuit pretty successfully. Then kind of fell out off it. Took a couple of random western lessons at random barns, till I found Gold Streak Quarter horses, which I took lessons with the trainer and found my first horse "Skylar" a grade green broke 7 year old. Not a good match for a green rider. Why the trainer let me buy her is beyond me but whatever.

Had a lot of falls off her but she taught me so much. Stopped taking lessons because they weren't getting me anywhere and pretty much started teaching myself. About half a year of owning Skylar the barn closed. Moved her to Karens Quarter horse and buckskin ranch, then moved her to Dragon Fly Pines back with my friends from GSQH. I loved it there. But after 2 years there I made the decision to move to my current barn, On The Rail soon to be Determination Performance horses, to work as an apprentice, training Western and English pleasure horses, reiners and occasionally dressage horses.
